Art and New York Real Estate

I know this isn't anything new but isn't it funny how New York real estate follows artists and musicians around? The artists who can't afford to live in "nice" neighborhoods move to areas where people aren't even supposed to live (for example because it's industrial and there are no amenities to accomodate living), then folks looking for the next new thing come to check out the hip new area where the hipsters live, take notes, bring themselves in, then the neighorhood gets bought out and developed, then the artists have to move out because they can't afford to live there anymore, and the cycle continues.
