No Nukes - A Plea To Whomever Wins

As far as being the face of this country is concerned, I'd be happy with either Sen. Barack Obama or Sen. Hillary Clinton, but please, whoever wins--nuclear energy is not the answer for our economy or global warming. We need to explore solar energy, and take nuclear energy off the table. Living near power plants has been linked to leukemia in children and other cancers. Also, by the time the government reports small leaks of radiation, it's too late for anyone to do anything about it. That won't be reason enough for me to feel resigned to letting this country become a nuclear experiment. Rock the vote, vote smart. It's our planet!

Founded by Jackson Browne, John Hall of Orleans, Graham Nash and Bonnie Raitt, the group protested the use of nuclear energy in the wake of the Three Mile Island incident (in which a nuclear power plant in Pennsylvania suffered a partial meltdown.
