Nancy King Live at Jazz Standard with Fred Hersch

Nancy King Live at Jazz Standard with Fred Hersch @ Amazon.com

This is why I love WBGO Jazz 88, the premier jazz station broadcasting out of Newark, New Jersey to the NJ-NY area (and on the world wide web): they play such excellent music, like this rendition of a song by Antonio Carlos Jobim and lyricist Aloysio de Oliveria (English version by Ray Gilbert) called "If You Never Come to Me" performed by singer Nancy King with pianist Fred Hersch, track number 6 on the album, Live at Jazz Standard. She has a broad range and powerful scat skills - this performance features her best scat soloing on such sweet chord changes. Check it out!
