Pat Buchanan On American Jews and the Pro-Israel Lobby / Pope Pius XIII

What is the Middle East conflict about, and what does it have to do with Jerusalem? Does the Vatican want to see the Pope in a newly built temple in Jerusalem where he will rule over the nations as the promised messiah in the actual bloodline (edited: correction--as many believe the last pope will be--) of Jesus Christ, or, as Cardinal Taurean put it, "Palestinian prince of peace" (I had never read about or heard of Jesus being referred to as anything but the Jewish messiah for Christians)? I don't know if this is the goal of the RCC, but perhaps it's easier for me to understand Pat Buchanan's views on Israel if I see them in the context of a Traditionalist Catholic. "Lucian Pulvermacher (born Earl Pulvermacher, April 20, 1918 – November 30, 2009)[1][2] was a traditionalist Roman Catholic priest. He was the head of the "True Catholic Church," a small conclavist group that, without authorization from the Holy See of Rome, elected him Pope Pius XIII in October, 1998. He resided in Springdale, Washington, United States.

Paleoconservatism - Wikipedia

"The phrase paleoconservative ("old conservative") was originally a tongue-in-cheek rejoinder used in the 1980s to differentiate traditional conservatives from neoconservatives and Straussians. Pat Buchanan calls neoconservatism "a globalist, interventionist, open borders ideology."[1] The paleoconservatives argue that the "neocons" are illegitimate interlopers in the conservative movement."
