Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Now 2017

Never mind that it's a silly, nonsensical name, the whimsical-sounding launch is a refreshingly basic Floral composition with fruity aspects, a spring bouquet with crisp top notes reminiscent of Paris Hilton or Max Factor Le Jardin. The ad campaigns seem to shift between garden flowers and tropical rainforest motifs, but both of these are reflected in the scent which I would describe as a floral coconut water, especially at the beginning when the coconut is prominent. The coconut subsides and I'm left with a pleasantly clean soapy floral dry down, like a less musky Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue or an '80s style floral a la Rochas Lumiere, Charles Jourdan Un Jour or Laura Ashley. The diaphanous pastel rainbow colors seem to depict fantasy island, befitting of this heavenly new fragrance like light and lilting May flowers by the sea.

Edited to add: I smell more guava now, an icy cool, perpetually frozen summer fruit. The actual floral packaging is more vividly colored than pastel, with hibiscus pink being the star. 🌺

Edited to add: No, it's not an '80s but a '90s Floral-fruity I smell: Clarins Elysium. The soft, lush, pear-like tropical note also reminds me of Annick Goutal Petite Chérie.
