This Sunday, I spent the latter part of the afternoon with JP Girls NYC, a group of young women, girls, guys, New Yorkers of all walks of life, that got down to the business of saving Japan with Love from the Big Apple. We met in Times Square and the Grand Central Station vicinity to gather handwritten messages of love, hope and healing to send overseas. JP Girls NYC, led by EMI recording artist and Japanese radio personality AK (Akemi Kakihara), spent the day working together, passing out fundraising flyers and meeting passersby who were eager to write their messages, record radio interviews and take some pics with the group.
